This Backpacking Tents give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great Bang for the Buck
I have owned and used the Kelty Salida 2 for 2 years, and when I needed a bigger tent for a recent trip, I didn't hesitate to purchase the Kelty Salida 4. First, a caveat--as most backpackers know, the "rated" capacity (# of persons) of a backpacking tent is a stretch at best. While the Salida 4 might accommodate 4 sleepers in an emergency, it is best for, and really only comfortable for, 3 persons. But that is true for any other backpacking tent, regardless of the manufacturer or the cost. Secondly, this tent performs well: it is very quick and easy to put up and take down, the fly and floor keep it dry in rain, and it breathes reasonably well. (As an aside, I strongly suggest that you buy the footprint available for this tent as a groundcloth, though it can be hard to find--it fits the pole ends exactly, fits in the tent bag, is good insurance to protect the floor from punctures, is lightweight, and is relatively cheap.) Thirdly, Kelty tents are no longer at the top of the...

Pleased with this tent.
Review on the Kelty Salida 4. This tent was purchased for car camping at a campground.
As most reviews have stated, this tent goes up in a snap! Plenty of room on the inside for myself and a dog. As this is a 4 person tent, we could have easily accommodated one more person. 4 might be stretching it with gear. Rain and t-storms the first night. The tent preformed great in the storm. No leaks from above or below. Just a couple of items I'd like to note: Buy 4 good tent stakes, the ones that come with the tent do not hold well in sandy soil. Use the 4 good ones to stake the corners of the tent, use the supplied stakes for the vestibule and guy wires. Take down does not goes as quickly as set up. Try to dry the tent and fly as much as possible before putting it in the case. You will need a footprint for this tent. I used on old fly that was still in good condition from a previous tent. But Kelty makes a footprint for this model. I put a small tarp under the vestibule,...
